The worst thing about the first day of school is trying to find a seat. Luckily for me I spent most of the day sat on a floor, a heated floor a must add.

Bolton Octagon launches new vision for £10m revamp

The bakery and the shop was built in 1975. This was the first ever Carrs Pasties shop – before it sold pasties it was a tripe shop which sold the occasional pasty. The shop is still situated on Halliwell Road and is well known by generations of families from all over Bolton

Queen’s Park is a roughly circular 22 acres Victorian park lying on sloping ground to the north-west of Bolton town centre, in Greater Manchester, England. Opened as Bolton Park on 24 May 1866 by Lord Bradford it was renamed in 1897 in honour of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee

Jeanie O’Hare’s play stitches several of the Bard’s works together to retell the War of the Roses from Queen Margaret’s perspective. Jade Anouka takes on the crown in this production, not bad for someone who was once told she’d never be able to perform Shakespeare. Royal Exchange Manchester 14 Sept to 6 Oct.
